Cashing out Online (Nov 03)

The greatest moment of any poker player’s day is when they get to cash out. There are few things that beat the thrill of counting your winnings. If you play online poker, however, you don’t actually get to touch your winnings in a tangible way. You need to cash out in digital form, and this brings along its own set of problems. For example, you need to make sure that you have a safe and secure internet connection so that you are completely sure that your winnings actually end up in your account. There are just so many problems to the procedure.

Personally, I think that the online cash out procedure is deeply flawed. I am not a big fan of the way that you just hit a button to transfer your winnings into your player account. It seems to lack something. I am also particularly bothered by online pokercasinos that feel that it is appropriate to regulate how often their members can withdraw from their account. Casinos should not have the ability to say that players can only withdraw once a month. After all, online poker playing is supposed to be easier than the brick and mortar casino. Isn’t that why we all moved over to online gaming in the first place?
